Blue Route Response for Tractor Trailer Fire

Just before 5 PM, RFC and Broomall Fire Company were dispatched for a report of a tractor trailer on fire at mile marker 12.1, southbound on the Blue Route.
Chief and Squad 15 arrived and were met by firefighters from Delaware County who stopped in their private vehicles and deployed a dry powder extinguisher to the burning brakes.
The Squad crew pulled a booster line to complete extinguishment and cool down the brakes.
Broomall Fire Company was recalled.
Crews cleared the scene in thirty minutes.
