Former RFC Chief Don Wood to be inducted into the Radnor High School Hall of Fame

On November 14th, former Radnor Fire Chief Don Wood will be inducted into the Radnor High School Hall of Fame.
Don joined RFC in 1953 as a schoolboy firefighter. Over the years, Don served in numerous positions, including Chief, Assistant Chief, Treasurer and Ambulance Committee Chairman. Mr. Wood was the Radnor Township Fire Marshal for twenty-two years.
Don was also an instructor with the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
During his volunteer time, "Woody" spent thirty years teaching physics at Radnor High School.
Don passed away in March of 2024 and leaves behind a legacy of service and dedication to the Radnor community.
