During the first two training drills in March, firefighters trained on hydrant evolutions and removing a downed firefighter from a building. On March 10th, firefighters trained on hydrant supply and pump operations for RFC Engineers and drivers in training. The rest of the crew had the opportunity to stretch hand lines and flow water. On March 17th, RFC traveled to the Villanova/Cabrini campus to train in one of the houses slated for demolition. Firefighters reviewed the Fastboards, located on a couple of the trucks, which are used for firefighter removal. After some instruction, firefighters were sent into the smoke filled structure and had to locate the downed firefighter by following the sound of the activated Pass device. Once located, the team loaded the firefighter on the Fastboard and removed them from the building. Thanks to Villanova University for the ability to train on the Cabrini campus.
