At a little after 1 PM this afternoon, RFC was dispatched to assist Berwyn Fire Company on a building fire at the Stonegate at Devon Apartments.

The caller to Chester County reported fire coming from an apartment. Tredyffrin PD confirmed the same.

Chief 15 arrived and advised smoke coming from a third floor apartment.

Berwyn Assistant 2 assumed Operations and Chief 15 assumed Command until the arrival of Berwyn Chief 2.

An 1 3/4" line was stretched to the third floor by Berwyn with back up from the crew on Quint15. The fire was quickly knocked and PPV fans were set up to clear the building of smoke.

RFC cleared the scene in about an hour.
