RFC was dispatched at 4:35 PM to assist the Berwyn Fire Company on Steeplechase Road in Devon for a chimney fire.
Quint 15 arrived and was ordered to place the main in service to the roof. Firefighters removed the chimney cap and inspected the interior. Seeing embers still glowing, they deployed the chimney chains and knocked the embers down inside the fireplace where Berwyn firefighters removed them from the building.
The RFC crew cleared the scene within the hour.
