Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, Radnor Fire Company crews traveled to Archbishop Carroll High School for a drill on Monday night. The aerial ladder was placed to the roof a of the gym and firefighters practiced climbing the ladder with power tools. Once on the roof, a review of the tools and tactics were discussed. Another group of firefighters carried, placed and utilized the ground ladders to access a lower roof. The discussion covered proper placement and climbing techniques. The last part of the drill was placing the ladder pipe in service. Crews returned to the firehouse after approximately 2 1/2 hours of training.
