Radnor Firefighters Respond To Rush Hour Car Fire On Blue Route

Wayne, PA -- Radnor Fire Company was dispatched at 4:20 Monday afternoon to reports of a car on fire on the northbound shoulder of I-476 near the Lancaster Avenue overpass.

Chief 15 was first on scene and confirmed an older, small sedan fully involved on the shoulder. Squad 15 arrived on scene with a full crew of firefighters who pulled a bumper line and made short work of the care fire. Engine 15 and Engine 15-1 responded to the scene quickly after with additional Radnor firefighters who helped secure the scene and wrap-up the detail.

Radnor Police and Pennsylvania State Police helped secure traffic and scene safety for the firefighters.

No firefighters or civilians were injured during the incident. The cause of the car fire is under investigation.
