Man Pinned Under a Car

A little after 1 AM today, Radnor Fire Company was dispatched to a report of a man pinned under a car on Ravenscliff Road. The caller to 911 reported hearing the subject yelling for help.
RTPD arrived and confirmed the report, adding that the car tire was on top of his lower torso.
Chief 15 requested an engine from Berwyn to assist.
Chief 15 arrived and assumed command. MICU 15 arrived and began assessment of the male.
Squad 15 arrived and the crew began deploying rescue tools. Tac 15 arrived shortly afterward and assisted in the rescue.
After stabilizing the vehicle, including securing the front suspension, rescue tools were used to lift the vehicle to free the male.
He was packaged on the stretcher and transported to a local trauma hospital.
Fire units returned to the firehouse within an hour.
