This afternoon at 1:57 pm, Radnor Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Bryn Mawr Fire Company in the 700 block of Conestoga Road.
A landscaping vehicle was spreading hay across a newly seeded lawn when the spreading machine caught fire, causing hay bales carried on the truck to ignite.
The truck driver dumped the hay bales across the lawn.
Squad 15 arrived and laid a 5" supply line from the Bryn Mawr pumper in the driveway to a nearby hydrant.
Radnor firefighters assisted in the extinguishment process.
Several hose lines were deployed to douse the flames.
RFC returned to the firehouse within the hour to wash hose and clean the apparatus.
