Step Up.

When a resident of Radnor Township calls for emergency help, neighbors answer – a highly-trained team of neighbors dedicated to protecting the people, property and environment of the township we love.

We are the volunteer firefighters and EMTs of the Radnor Fire Company.

We welcome you to join our team.

Stand Out.

Radnor Fire Company's volunteer firefighters and EMTs have a lot in common with other township residents.

We are parents, sons, and daughters. We have full-time jobs, lawns to mow, meals to make, hobbies to pursue.  We work hard as executives, IT professionals, carpenters, police officers, business owners, township employees, coaches, students, engineers and more.

But there are things that set us apart and unite us as a team of first responders our neighbors can depend on:

  • A strong desire to give back to the community we love.
  • The need to act when help is needed.
  • The drive to learn and practice skills that enable us to provide that help.
  • The desire for the camaraderie of being part of a team.

Save Lives.

If you have the will, we will show you the way.

Many of Radnor Fire Company’s 50+ volunteers had no experience with fire or emergency services before walking through our station door.

Why Should I Volunteer?

As a Radnor Fire Company volunteer, you will:

  • Have a direct and positive impact on our community, which urgently needs more volunteer firefighters and EMTs.
  • Attain the skills to save the lives and property of your family, friends, and neighbors or support those who do.
  • Gain leadership experience that can help you succeed at work or in other organizations.
  • Challenge yourself physically and mentally in a way your paid career may not.
  • Make new friendships that last a lifetime.

There are many ways for YOU to make a difference:

Firefighter

Respond to motor vehicle accidents, fires, medical emergencies, rescue calls, hazardous materials incidents and other calls as part of a cohesive and highly-trained team.

Junior Firefighter

16- and 17-year-olds assist on the periphery of fire and rescue emergencies and participate in weekly drills and training sessions.

EMT

Provide emergency medical care at the emergency scene and in transit to the hospital.

Auxiliary

The Auxiliary is an affiliated organization whose members organize fund drives, fundraisers, and fun events that benefit Radnor Fire Company and our community. From our Memorial Day Parade participation and yearly Santa Claus and Easter Bunny breakfasts, to the large, annual fire prevention event we hold for the neighboring community, our auxiliary corps is a vital support and fundraising mechanism for our fire and EMS operations.
