On December 26, 2009 at 18:21 hours the interstate response was transmitted for I-476 Southbound approaching West Chester Pike. 15 units were already on air who had just cleared a CO alarm. SD-15 arrived with 15-7A to find a single vehicle accident into the guard rail. The guard rail and the vehicle were totalled. One victim was found semi-conscious on the highway with 4 other victims injured. Numerous units were utilized to treat and transport the numerous injured victims. Once again due to the weather all victims were transported to area trauma centers via ground. Fireboard was kept busy as additional units were called into the scene and diverted to other assignments by command.
