Odell Studner is partnering with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company to award a $5,168 grant to the Radnor Fire Company to ensure firefighters are well-equipped to work during emergencies.

The grant money is being used to purchase much-needed equipment, such as rescue knives, flashlights and rubber door wedges. These items are used daily and are critical for all firefighters to carry in order to respond to emergencies safely and effectively.

"Ensuring firefighter safety and providing them with the necessary equipment is paramount in our business," said Fire Chief Joseph Maguire. "Thanks to the grant, we will be able to outfit our volunteers with equipment that will allow them to do their job and stay safe."

Funded by Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, this grant is part of a nationwide philanthropic program, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Founded in 1863 with a social mission to support the fire service, Fireman’s Fund today awards grants to fire- service organizations for life-saving equipment, firefighter training and community education programs. Since 2004, Fireman’s Fund has awarded grants to more than 2,100 different organizations totaling more than $31 million — including over $850,000 in Pennsylvania. Independent insurance agencies and brokers that sell Fireman’s Fund products, like Odell Studner, are able to direct these grants to support the fire service.

"Firefighters put their lives on the line each time they respond to an emergency, and we’re proud to provide the Radnor Fire Company with some of resources it needs to ensure the safety of its crew," said Steven Odell, CEO, Odell Studner.
